There are so many different ways to promote/advertise and get the word out about your business these days that it can very difficult to decide on which ones to use. The various social media methods out there, were created for very specific reasons. You need to decide where you need the most promotion, where your audience is going to come from and how best to engage your target audience too. Time factor and prioritising your business, customers and social media is also something to take into account.
Your local social media expert will have some idea of which ones will be best for you and between both of you, you can make the best informed decisions into supporting your vision.
Not every industry needs a Facebook Page for example, Solicitors can of course have a promotional page but not necessary to have a page that discusses their cases! A website would be more suitable for them. However, Face Painting or Holistic Healing would do well with a Facebook Page.
It matters a great deal to have the right method to convey your story to the General Public. A Library would use one or two types whereas a Pop Group would use most of them! Once you have decided on the method to use, you then need to use it properly. If you decide on a Facebook Page and a Twitter account, both need regular updating and input in order to properly work. Do you have time to dedicate each day to these? Is your business or service fast-moving and frankly interesting enough to use these methods?
Images are also vital, as we're very visual and as a whole we find things easier to retain if we can find pleasing and relevant images on a page we are following. By far it is better to use your own images and it "keeps it real" in every sense of the word. However, using Canva.com and Pexels.com as well as many other free and paid-for platforms can keep your content refreshed.
