When I first started looking at what I was going to do with my time back in 2012-2013, I was very limited as to what I could do. I have two lovely children and when I set up business in 2013 they were 3 and 5.
I wanted to do something that would work around them initially and obviously needed something flexible. Other jobs and roles just didn’t allow for this. I had always been a stay-at-home Mum since having the kids and wanted to continue this for as long as possible, so setting up my own business seemed like a logical conclusion.
The previous year (2012) when I was volunteering as usual with one of my favourite charity’s Cuidiu, I was approached by a Magician! He had seen me posting on Facebook regularly and wondered if he could get a few pointers off me on how I did it? I was delighted to show him how I did it and really enjoyed seeing him learning to do it for himself and that’s where the idea of STOMP came along. He then recommended me to others and after a few enquiries I then approached the Local Enterprise Office on how to set up my company.
You can now read about my Story of STOMP in my blog, which I am adding to throughout my tenth year in business. Simply search under "Story of STOMP for full details.

I started first with a Design Your Own Website Using WordPress course and then went on to a Start Your Own Business Course and several other courses over the years since.
When I first started back in 2013, I didn’t think very big – not many sole traders do and the name STOMP actually stands for Sole Trader, Office, Marketing and PR. I am delighted to say I now support and train all sizes of business and my business has grown with my clients.
I set up STOMP Marketing & PR in Co Wicklow on November 7th 2013 and rebranded my business December 2015 to what it is known today to STOMP Social Media Training after looking at my pool of enquiries and making my business match my clientele. I finally became incorporated in 2020 and have now become a limited company.
Over the years I have worked with solopreneurs, SME's, Corporates, Universities, State Bodies an even the odd celebrity. All of my work is customised to the ability level of whom I'm working with and each person / group is not spoken at but worked with. Learners come away from our time together, not just viewing - but doing.
I have a wide audience I support and have worked on and built enduring relationships with Local Chambers, County Partnerships and with the Local Enterprise Offices.
I help businesses and individuals maximize their online presence by offering personalized social media training. From crafting compelling content to understanding algorithms, I empower clients to effectively engage with their audience and achieve their goals on a varied platform base.
I have now trained over 6,200 people in the last 9 years either in groups or on a one to one basis. On stage, online or in person through Keynotes, Workshops or Ongoing Courses. I can help you feel supported and confident in your new skills.
