Social Media Round Up April 2019

Happy May! This April 2019 round up is a little on the brief side - for one reason and one reason only - I got busy and forgot to save stuff!I am now feeling much better after my short spell of injury and illness (well 2 months - so not really that short actually??).

I will be doing a do-over of my Dublin Facebook and Instagram Workshop at the end of this month so keep a sharp eye out. IF you read this blog then you will find my discount code for it somewhere through it and you are welcome to use it and get further €5 off your ticket :D Let's get started shall we?

Facebook - Scheduling in Groups

If you are an Admin or Group Moderator, you may have noticed that the format on your phone has changed and you can now schedule within the post rather than above it. If you didn't notice, I hope this helps :)

Facebook - Fonts in Groups

NEW TOY ALERT

You can now formally edit your posts in Facebook to look just like this!

  • Making it look clearer
  • Making lists that can be scanned faster
  • I like making Bullet Points

Don't want bullets? How about Numbers?

Well anything goes with this new update - it works on your phone and on your laptop/iPad but it's ONLY in groups for now. Who knows where it will end up in the future? To get money off the workshop just add the discount code STMay19, in the Promo Code area.

Abbreviations and Acronyms

When you're in the business of Marketing you do sometimes come across some odd abbreviations which only serve to confuse people at times. Some can be quite obvious and some not so much. How many of these did you know already?

Twitter Advanced Search

Early March Feedalpha shared a post in the form of a Inforgraphic. Very handy and absolutely worth sharing:

Biteable - Making Videos

I was invited by Biteable to look at their product and perhaps suggest it in my next round up. I set up a Free account and have had a good look around. It simple enough to navigate and there is actually a fair bit that you can do to create a video within app. I can't find it on my phone however, so I believe it is only a web app. They have a Facebook Video Marketing Guide for 2019 with 11 chapters that explain how to use video for better ROI on Facebook.I am only suggesting you look at this app at this time as I don't have a huge wealth of knowledge on this yet but I can definitely see its potential. I would love to know your feedback on it if you use it or are using it.
